New Firmware update for Amazon Fire Tablets

Amazon has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with several of Fire devices. The reason for this is version 5.9.5, which implements general improvements and performance improvements while also giving users the ability to access live camera streaming using Alexa.Amazon

Specifically, owners who connect a compatible smart home camera to Alexa can control the live stream whenever they want simply by asking Alexa to show or hide the feed.

Regarding compatible devices, the manufacturer provides separate packages that target fourth-generation devices Fire HD 6, Fire HD 7 and Fire HDX 8.9, fifth-generation Fire, Fire HD 8 and Fire HD 10 as well as the sixth-generation tablet, Fire HD 8.

Regarding the installation, save the appropriate file for your model, connect the tablet to your computer using a USB cable, go to the root directory of the Fire's internal storage and copy the firmware you downloaded.

Next, make sure the transfer completed successfully, remove the USB cable, go to Settings> Device Options> System Updates, press “Update” and the tablet will do the rest. Make sure the battery is fully charged so the upgrade can be completed without any mishaps.
