Apple says it plans to fix the static (or crackling) sound that some iPhone 8 users are hearing during calls.

Apparently, the problem stems from a software issue, which affects the handset and which may be fixed in an upcoming update.
“We are aware of an issue that has affected a small number of our customers,” an Apple spokesperson told The Verge. “Our team is working to find a solution, which will be included in an upcoming software release.”
Apple quickly became aware of the issue after frustrated users began calling the company directly and posting the problem on online forums. There doesn't seem to be any connection between carriers or locations, as users all over the world are experiencing static.
While it's unclear when Apple will release an update to fix the static sound issue on the iPhone 8, it's common for the company to fix such issues after a new product is released. This is done through a new iOS update. Apple has already released its first update for iOS 11, iOS 11.1. So, if you're experiencing the sound issue, you'll just have to wait. A new update is expected to be released soon for this issue as well.
