Q4OS Windows installer: The Q4OS development team has just announced the immediate availability of a Windows installer for the Debian-based GNU/Linux distribution. Yes, Q4OS will allow users with an application that can run on Windows to create a dual boot environment on their computers.
For those who don't know Q4OS, it is an open-source and free Linux distribution based on the popular Debian GNU/Linux operating system. It uses the Trinity Desktop Environment (TDE) as its desktop environment, which is similar in feel to the old KDE 3.5, but also to Windows.
It was created for Windows users who wish to change operating systems, and from today Q4OS will allow the installation of the distribution alongside Windows in a much easier way.
If you think about it, you will be able to install the distribution without having to make any modifications to your personal computer.
“The installer allows you to install Q4OS alongside Windows in an easy way, without having to modify your existing Windows operating system or any installed software,” the developers explain.
“After installation, you will be able to switch between Windows and Q4OS every time you restart your computer.”.
