Debian GNU/Linux 10 Buster Alpha: Work on the next major release of the Debian GNU/Linux operating system has been ongoing since early July, right after the arrival of the Debian GNU/Linux 9 “Stretch” series. It appears that the next major update is already in the Alpha development stage.
Debian developer Cyril Brulebois announced on behalf of the Debian Installer team that the first Alpha version of the installer for the Debian GNU/Linux 10 “Buster” operating system is available for testing if you want to install the upcoming operating system on your computer.
The major changes brought by the new release are support for the Linux 4.12 kernel series, a new sshd user that will support privilege separation for recent OpenSSH releases, the ability for partman-auto-raid to use a logical volume as /boot when the “partman-auto-lvm/no_boot=” option is set to “true”.
Below we list the new ISOs in CD and DVD format. Before installing, consider that this is an Alpha version, which means it is too early to be stable.
Proceed with the installation after reading the errata.
