Another OnePlus 5 bug discovered by a user

As if the existing bugs on the OnePlus 5 weren't enough, another one has been added. Attempting to call the emergency number (166) 199 results in the device rebooting. The problem has already been confirmed by users in the United States and the United Kingdom.OnePlus 5

A video posted by a US-based user on Facebook reveals the bug, with the reboot usually triggered a few seconds after calling 911. The same problem is also being reported by smartphone owners living in the UK.

"I tried calling from the UK after making sure the emergency service was working and got the exact same error. Something is wrong with OnePlus," the UK resident said.

On the other hand, there are many users who assure that emergency services work on their devices, so we are probably talking about isolated cases that occurred in a small number of owners.

If you want to test the operation of your OnePlus 5, you can first call the local police emergency number. It would be a good idea if you do not try to call 166 unannounced as we do not forget that we are referring to emergency lines.

Unfortunately, the company has not yet acknowledged or confirmed the bug, but it is likely aware of the reports and is investigating the issue. In any case, it is necessary to provide an updated version in the next update. As we know, OnePlus typically releases several updates for its devices, so we should expect an upgrade soon. Let's not forget that this particular bug, if confirmed, is quite critical for users who will likely find themselves in an emergency at some point.
