Microsoft has recently revamped Skype as it tries to turn its VoIP platform into a full-featured instant messaging solution, but it seems that not all iPhone users are big fans of the new design and updated features.

Comments posted on the App Store show that Apple users are actually very disappointed with Skype's new design, with some describing the app as "the worst Skype ever."
It goes without saying that many people blamed Microsoft for this plan, criticizing the company for ruining the Skype experience and calling for "Apple and Linux to drive you out of the market."
Other users believe that Microsoft is completely ruining Skype, pointing out that since it bought the company, updates have only broken everything.
"The new design is awful. I've been using Skype for ten years because it had a simple layout and was easy to use and stable. This new design has features that are completely useless and lost a lot of features that I used to use (status: INVISIBLE for example, it's easy to see partnerlist). Skype went downhill when it was bought by Microsoft and now it seems to have hit rock bottom. One star is too many," says one user.
At this point, the current version of Skype has a rating of one and a half stars, while all versions are currently rated at four stars. This shows how disappointed users are with Microsoft's new Skype design, despite the company hoping things are completely different.
A similar review was also posted on the Google Play Store , with Android users complaining about some features not seeming to work properly after the new update.
"The new update is horrible, it needs a serious reality check. Also, in my opinion, it should go back to the way it was easy to use and a great way to communicate with friends by video or call since I have now uninstalled the app, due to the new update," explains one user.
Microsoft is no doubt aware of the criticism, but it remains to be seen if an update to improve the user experience will be provided soon.
