Kodi lost Phoenix! Is it the end?

Bad news for Kodi fans who used streaming add-ons. The popular add-on Phoenix just stopped working…

It all started last week when American satellite provider Dish Network filed a lawsuit against two well-known Kodi add-ons: ZemTV and TVAddons.ag.
The lawsuit accuses ZemTV of directly infringing copyrights from various TV channels and TVAddons of distributing pirated material through add-ons.Phoenix

The news caused shock among many add-on developers, most of whom release their software as a hobby without any financial incentive. Thus a possible lawsuit that could result in a fine of hundreds of thousands of dollars does not help them find additional motivation for further development of the add-ons.

This could explain why several add-ons closed in the last 48 hours.

One of the add-ons that TVAddons.ag offered to every interested user was also Phoenix, which gave access to hundreds of movies and TV series. As of today this particular add-on, together with some others, has stopped working, and the developer of Cosmix said:

“Under the prism of the current events we decided to close Phoenix. It was not something easy for us.”

So this was the end of Kodi, or is it just a pause on the part of the developers, who until now have not taken care to hide their tracks?

We believe it is the latter, and that very soon we will see new applications that ensure the privacy of those responsible….

By then a spectacular shift towards torrent sites is expected…
