Owners who want to know everything about their pets now have a powerful new tool!

UK-based SureFlap has already created a range of products that connect to pet microchips. Now it's creating an app-connected dog door.
It's pretty simple to start tracking your pet with the ultimate "spy" tool, called the Microchip Pet Door Connect. You install the dog door on your front door, just like you would a regular pet door. Then you connect the "hub" that connects the door to the internet. From there, you'll know every time your dog or cat enters or leaves the house, with a notification on your smartphone.
But in addition to letting you know when your pet comes and goes, the door is smart enough to let you set when it locks or unlocks, via the app. As the website , you "create a curfew" for your pet. Or in other words, you "protect your home," since you can prevent neighborhood cats and other stray animals from entering your home uninvited.
Like the company's already available pet door and feeder, this new product uses your pet's microchip to work. But if they don't have a microchip, RFID collar tags can also work with the door.
It's set to be released this summer for around $200, so you can better control your beloved four-legged friend's movements.
