“Freedom of expression has been brutally attacked,” Anonymous said in a video message to “Al-Qaeda, the Islamic State and other terrorists,” announcing that they would avenge the massacre at the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo with cyberattacks on the jihadists’ websites.

Anonymous announced the Charlie Hebdo (#Op charlie Hebdo) in a video posted on the organization’s Belgian account. “We declare war on you,” says a figure wearing a Guy Fawkes mask, stressing that the organization will identify and close all social media accounts linked to the terrorists to avenge the massacre at Charlie Hebdo.
