A massive cyberattack by a group of Sudanese hackers has taken down the websites of a major airport (Ben Gurion) and the largest electricity supplier (Israel Electric Corporation) in the Israeli-occupied territories, amid growing cyber operations targeting companies and facilities belonging to the Israeli regime.

Hebrew-language media reported that a hacking group calling itself “Anonymous Sudan” took down the websites of Ben Gurion International Airport and the Israel Electric Company (IEC) on Saturday.
The report added that Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, in which websites are targeted by overwhelming their servers with too many connection requests, made the sites unavailable for a while before being restored.
"We have not forgotten our Eid gift to Israel. There will be a major [cyberattack] and it will destroy a large part of the infrastructure in Israel. We will attack at any time," the group wrote on its Telegram channel.

Earlier this week, a hacking group from Indonesia carried out a massive cyberattack against several Israeli websites, including those of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Education , and Health.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the group, calling itself VulzSecTeam, announced on April 17 that it had managed to hack into the websites of the Israeli ministries of Education, Health and Foreign Affairs, as well as the Israeli police and bus and train companies in recent days and taken them down.
The developments come just days after pro-Palestinian hackers took down the websites of dozens of prominent Israeli companies and institutions in a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people on International Quds Day and to condemn the heinous crimes committed by the Israeli regime against the oppressed nation.
According to a report published by the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom, hackers “broke down” at least 60 Israeli websites within 48 hours, and the cyberattacks, which took place on an unprecedented scale, caused widespread disruption throughout the occupied territories.

The report added that, in addition to the Israeli banks that were subjected to cyberattacks on Quds Day, the websites of the international taxi service Yango and the private College of Law and Business in Ramat Gan were also affected
IT specialists and experts emphasize that the methods used for hacking were significantly more advanced than those used in previous years.
