The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate has filed a criminal case against two Greek citizens for theft. The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate has filed a regular procedure criminal case against a 54-year-old Greek citizen and a 49-year-old Greek citizen, who are accused of theft.
In particular, the Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate investigated a case of theft of household goods and various objects from a foreigner's home in an area of Evia, including a camera with internet.
From the online investigation that followed in the context of lifting the secrecy of communications and in cooperation with internet service companies, the involvement of the 54-year-old Greek national in the case was identified.
In a search carried out at the 54-year-old's home, in the presence of a Public Prosecutor, the camera in question, which had been removed from the foreigner's home, was found and seized.
From the development of the investigation and the further exploitation of evidence, it was determined that another person was also involved, specifically the 49-year-old Greek national.
The camera that was found and confiscated was returned to its owner.
The case file filed against the two citizens will be submitted to the competent Prosecution Authorities.
