Will Mars and the moon appear the same size on August 27?

The “hoax”goeslike this: If you look up at the night sky today, August 27th, will you see Mars appear as big as the moon? Unfortunately, you won’t. This silly hoax appears almost every year, with the promise that no one has seen the phenomenon before and that it won’t happen again for hundreds of years. It’s also known as the two-moon hoax.

It’s obvious that the exciting “news” is a lie and of course it doesn’t answer the question of why Mars would suddenly look exactly the same as the moon?
But as we’ve seen many times, even the most obvious lie can be spread very easily by social networks, or by websites that collect clicks by offering garbage. So before it starts spreading and going viral, it would be good to know about it.
Just ignore it if you see it on Facebook feeds today.
