The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) wants to make sure that nothing the NSA. So it says it is compiling all the documents leaked and to be leaked by Snowden into a database.
The NSA Documents Database , as it is called, is an easy-to-use and categorized database that contains over 200 classified documents and includes files from Edward Snowden as well as other recently declassified files from the intelligence agency.
“The American Civil Liberties Union and others have long suspected that the National Security Agency has gone far beyond its mandate from the government, and by extension, the public, in collecting intelligence to supposedly combat terrorism,” the American Civil Liberties Union.
The organization says that all their suspicions were confirmed on June 5, 2013, when the first documents from Snowden were released, thanks to the Guardian newspaper.
“The leaks have sparked a valuable and long-awaited public debate about the legality and appropriateness of government surveillance practices,” the American Civil Liberties Union.
The ACLU database is searchable by keyword.
The leaked documents from Edward Snowden have exposed many questionable NSA practices, such as the collection of phone metadata. Other documents have revealed that NSA spies are monitoring hundreds of leaders around the world.
