Edward Snowden has received a positive response for asylum from Venezuela, but he will have to think about it and decide very quickly, as the country's authorities have given him until Monday.
"There has been no communication of any kind. We are waiting until Monday to find out if he confirms his desire to take the asylum we are granting him in Venezuela," Foreign Minister Elias Jaua said on state television and NBC reported.
Bolivia and Nicaragua are also granting asylum to Edward Snowden, who has currently found refuge in the transit zone of Moscow airport since June 23.
The Venezuelan President first indicated that the country was willing to consider granting asylum to Snowden when he requested protection from Ecuador.
