Some people have what we call an “artistic streak.” I’m not one of them… The best I can do is jagged lines and wavy curves in Draw Something. If you’re anything like me, then you can’t help but envy Seikou Yamaoka’s digital works.
He is an artist whose only tools are Apple's iOS mobile devices, the Art Studio mobile application, and... his fingers (not even a capacitive stylus). The specific application is available on the App Store, at a cost of 2.7 euros for the iPhone / iPod Touch and 4.5 euros for the iPad. From 2010 to the present, he has made several portraits, including one of Steve Jobs himself!
But wait. More impressive than the already stunning digital paintings are the time-lapse videos he has created (22 to date). In each of them, he shows the entire design process for each portrait, from absolute blank space to the final work. The gentleman in question also has a fan page on Facebook, where you can stay up to date with all his work.
