Apple smartphone sales drop

Apple is preparing to launch a new generation iPhone that is supposed to revive sales of the device after several quarters of declining sales, but bringing the iPhone back to growth is a very difficult task for the company, due to the trends in the largest markets.
Living proof is China, one of the countries that is a priority for Apple since lately it seems to be slowly losing interest in iPhones. And if we take into account the changes coming to the next model, it is likely to maintain the same decline, as the upcoming iPhone will be very similar in terms of design and will simply include some hardware upgrades, such as a dual-camera system on the Plus model.

Statistics provided by Digitimes may show that smartphone sales increased in China in the second quarter of 2016, but demand for Apple's iPhones has declined, and fewer and fewer buyers seem interested in buying one.
The Chinese market reached 149 million mobile phone sales during the quarter, up 2.7 percent from the previous quarter, with Huawei becoming the top company in China with 14 percent of the market, followed by Oppo with 12.7 percent, Vivo with 11.2 percent, and Xiaomi just ahead of Apple with 10.4 percent.
Apple is the fifth-largest smartphone seller, with the statistics reaching single digits for the first time.
