DevRant, an online community for developers, released a list revealing the most annoying programming languages. Developers with SQL skills in their profiles are 56.0 percent above average. In contrast, Objective-C developers are the happiest.
devRant is an app designed specifically for developers who want to crack a few jokes, express their frustrations in the form of rants, and move on with their lives. The same community has now revealed its list of the most annoying programming languages.
devRant used data (20,000 rants posted by more than 12,000 developers) from the devRant Android, iOS, and web apps to compile this list. The infographic the company created displays the data in the form of deviations from the average dev rant rate.
It was revealed that developers who had SQL on their skills list shared the most rants posted on devRants. Their proportion of posted rants was 56.0 percent higher than average.
After SQL, the list of the most annoying programming languages continued with the likes of Mango and Swift.
It's awesome to see that users of some of the biggest programming languages – C++, JavaScript, Java , and Python – don't "rant" much. Objective-C developers seem to be the ones who are satisfied with -79.9 percent fewer rants per developer.
DevRant describes its app as being designed to be a fun and edgy place to escape the rigors of programming. You can get the app for iOS and Android, or check out the live rant feed on website .
