On June 29, AMD released the final version of the AMDGPU-Pro 16.30 graphics driver for GNU/Linux operating systems, bringing support for new technologies such as the Vulkan API.

While AMD says that the disk driver is available for Linux kernel-based operating systems, the release notes show that only Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) supports it at this time. However, this should not stop maintainers of other distributions from integrating the new AMDGPU-PRO driver into their systems.
Ikey Doherty said that the AMDGPU-PRO 16.30 graphics driver will be available soon for the Solus operating system.
Also, please note that this driver from AMD is only compatible with 64-bit OSes and newer graphics cards such as the AMD Radeon RX 480 and R9 series.
Snapshots from the release of the AMDGPU-PRO 16.30 graphics driver include support for OpenGL 4.5, GLX 1.4, OpenCL 1.2, Vulkan 1.0, VDPAU APIs, along with Vulkan support for the game Dota 2, as well as a basic indication of features and power management.
Additionally, the video guide comes with built-in support for the technologies of ADF (Atomic Display Framework) and KMS (Kernel Mode Setting), a GPL compatible kernel module, and Debian packages that have been tested only for the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) operating system.
There are, however, some known limitations for this version, such as minor wear details with the Dying Light and F1 2015 games, and some small issues with the AMD Radeon R9 Fury X and AMD Radeon R9 M395X graphics cards.
