Developer Nick Lee used his amazing DIY skills to amaze us once again! He managed to run Android on an iPhone using his special 3D-printed smartphone case.

Particularly tired of the eternal debate between users around the world “Android vs iOS”, Lee spent about 45 hours building an iPhone case that allows him to run Android on the iPhone. Cloning the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), Lee created a customized Android Marshmallow version.

With this amazing iPhone case, the user can have their phone running iOS normally and whenever they want, with just one click, they can switch to Android. With just one click!

The initial design of the case was pretty bulky. After more work, he managed to slim it down and make a case that wasn't much larger than a smartphone battery case.

Lee's case also has USB, HDMI, and SD card ports. In the demo video, he's seen running a Tendigi (Lee is the company's CTO) app that prompts him to connect the case. Before placing the iPhone in the case, Lee places a plastic film around the components.

The whole process is not that practical according to him, but it's still an amazing proof of concept!

An interesting fact is that Lee mentions that a thinner version of this case could be created, if there is sufficient interest from consumers!
