Knowing that the competition is particularly fierce, Facebook Messenger may have something new to reveal to us in the form of... bots. These bots will be able to extend the capabilities of messaging beyond the limits of texting, sending video clips and GIFs.

It appears that the social media company has given developers access to an unofficial Chat SDK. This Chat SDK allows them to build an army of bots in the Messenger app, where they will be responsible for handling a variety of processes.
From consulting with your personal travel agent to managing your shopping cart… these bots will be able to do it all! And not only that! According to sources, this Chat SDK will allow developers to create bots which, in turn, will allow users to send text messages that will automatically respond to things like the following:
• Images
• Location services
• Product prices
• Shopping links
Since Facebook Messenger already includes the ability to send payments to other users, there's also the possibility that these bots could allow you to make purchases through online websites, from Amazon to Newegg.
Recently, Uber announced that its service will also be available on the application and will allow users to call through it with the touch of a button. Since Facebook is still keeping a tight lid on this matter, all we have to do is wait for future updates and of course the big official announcement from the company itself!
Imagine with these bots in the application being able to carry out your daily tasks simply by pressing a button! It sounds too good to be true…. What do you think?
