Samsung recently introduced the new Galaxy A (2016) smartphone series, which is aimed at those who don't quite like the company's newly released devices, but still want top-notch design and features.

The first three smartphones to debut in China in mid-December are the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 (2016). They will be released globally in the coming months, but there is no exact release for each country.

If you still don't think this Galaxy series meets your requirements and would rather wait for Samsung to launch a mini version of the Galaxy S6, then you might have to wait forever, because the device might have been canceled.

We reported back in July that some images of the alleged Galaxy S6 mini series had leaked online, along with some of its specifications. Well, it seems that these specifications are a perfect match for the Galaxy A3 (2016), so the device has been renamed and given a different purpose and purpose.

Even Samsung notes in its press release that “the A is the new Mini,” AndroidPit reports. It’s also worth noting that we’re less than a month away from the end of the year, and the company doesn’t seem to be releasing another smartphone in the coming weeks.

With the upcoming release of the Galaxy S7, which is supposed to be unveiled in February 2016, it's hard to believe that the company would want to release the mini version of the Galaxy S6 so close to the launch of its new smartphone.

But the Galaxy S6 mini might not be the only device canceled by the company this year. So if that's upsetting you, know that you have plenty of other alternatives to take advantage of, including Samsung's new A-series smartphones.
