Vimeo is starting to roll out high-definition streaming support to all users, meaning we'll soon be able to watch videos in 4K.
The company says that high-definition streaming will be available on the original website, as well as in the built-in Vimeo On Demand player.
Pro users of the service can already upload 4K videos, but until now they were only available for download.
Vimeo says that until now it did not support 4K streaming resolution, simply because the monitors and televisions currently on sale could not support the standard.
But as of today, Vimeo claims to have the "largest, open on-demand platform" for 4K streaming.
The company also announced that the full rollout of the new service will be completed by the end of Q1 2016, so if you don't see the option to stream (or upload) in 4K yet, don't worry - you're not alone.
