Say goodbye to Google+ Photos – Google has announced the end of the service
Google announced the termination of the Google+ Photos service on August 1. The termination of the service was expected after the presentation of the standalone Google Photos application that allows iOS and Android users to store all their photos and videos, regardless of their resolution.
So Google announced that starting August 1st, it will begin to discontinue the photo service on its Google+ social network, first for Android devices, and immediately after on the Web and iOS platforms.
Those who are still using Google+ Photos would be well advised to change service and use the new Google Photos application, which has been available since May for Android and iOS users.
You should also know that all your photos and videos will still exist and be available after the service ends in the new standaloneGoogle Photos app.
This way you won't need to make a backup.
