Google has revealed the schedule for its upcoming Google I/O 2015 conference (May 28-29), which has revealed a lot of interesting tidbits to keep us busy until then. What caught our attention was a reference to the “Android for Work” section, which mentions the next major version of the operating system, Android M (Marshmallow?)!
The report was withdrawn after a while, however, the screenshot below was saved. From the description we understand that Android M will be aimed at all types of users with the emphasis falling on the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) part that concerns professional use.
In another post, the company mentions the presentation of new wearable devices from the ATAP research department that (freely translated) will "blow our minds," but we will likely see concepts and not products that will be released on the market soon.
Finally, another interesting presentation is titled “Voice Access”, which concerns the ability to manage an Android device exclusively with voice commands. Of course, there will be no shortage of references to the development of the Project Ara foldable smartphone and Project Tango for 3D mapping of the surrounding space from the device’s camera.
We will await with great interest all news from the conference.
