Android Wear: New important updates
Google treats Android Wear like any other platform and regularly releases updates that add even more features for smartwatch.
As announced yesterday, the next Android Wear will include the following very important additions:
WiFi support: Users will now be able to leave their smartphones at home and continue to receive notifications, send messages and use the applications they want, provided that their Android Wear smartwatch is connected to a WiFi network and at the same time their smartphone is connected to either a WiFi network or a data plan.
Always-on Apps: The smartwatch screen will remain open as long as an application selected by the user is running, so that information is not lost if the user lowers their hand.
Emojis: Ability to draw emojis on the smartwatch screen by hand. The software will then transfer the drawing into digital form within the text or message.
To the above, add the ability to easily access contacts and applications with a tap on the main screen, as well as scrolling support with a turn of the wrist.
The changes will first appear on the LG Watch Urbane and then on all Android Wear smartwatches.
