Project Loon is undoubtedly one of the boldest and most ambitious tech projects Google.
When Project Loon was first announced to the public in 2011, few expected it to be a success. However, Google's developers and engineers have proven everyone wrong, and today, 4 years later, we are almost one breath away from the successful completion of the project!
In fact, a few days ago the Project Loon team posted a new video, which illustrates the progress that has been made, while also better presenting how the balloons work. One of the most notable points in the video is that the Project Loon team can now keep a balloon in the air for about 100 days, while from where they were able to build a balloon in a few days, now the technology has evolved so much that it allows Google to build a dozen balloons in a few hours.
What is clear is that a few years after the start of the project, the clouds associated with the successful completion of Project Loon have now dissipated and most of those involved are certain that the day when the Internet will travel even to the most remote area of the planet is now very close!
