With great success and the massive attendance of more than 1500 delegates, during a very rich day, dozens of renowned speakers and representatives of the IT market analyzed the sweeping changes occurring in the Information Security landscape. It became clear that new threats emerge daily, while increasing quantitatively and strengthening qualitatively. The new environment in the IT infrastructures of businesses and organizations (cloud, data centers, mobility), as well as the exponential increase in exposed data, significantly affect not only the information security parameter but in some cases also the security of critical infrastructures.

In the 1st Module entitled “The New Rules of Cyber ​​Security”, experts in the field of digital security highlighted the “new rules of the game”, mapping the trends of threats and the landscape of IT infrastructures, today. They pointed out the fact that digital security is today, more than ever, a major challenge for every organization and business. IT department managers, on the one hand, have to face the risks hidden in malicious software and defend against advanced attacks , while on the other hand, they must adapt their data protection measures to the new IT environment , as it has been shaped by the adoption of the cloud, mobility and other trends.

In the 2nd Section entitled "How to Be Proactive", the factor of threat prevention against critical business data and the avoidance of incidents that endanger their proper functioning was analyzed. Using technologies, solutions, services and security policies as tools, a synthesis of the parts of the path leading to a proactive approach to digital security was made. The speakers presented various threat prevention models, emphasizing that adjustments should always be made based on the needs and activity of each business. In order to predict threats, both the external factor should be taken into account, but internal threats that have a wide range, from pure negligence to malicious intent, should not be ignored.

In the 3rd Module entitled “Building a Smart Protection Strategy” , best practices for information management and threat assessment through incident analysis and recording were presented. Most speakers presented proposals towards creating intelligent solutions that will be the pillars of a security strategy .

In the 4th Section entitled “The Hacking Games”, the methods of protection against targeted threats launched by cybercriminals against businesses and organizations were presented. Thus, knowledge of the profile of hackers today, their motivations, the methodology, techniques and tools they use plays a crucial role, while at the same time the internal weak links. In any case, it was common ground that success is largely based on knowledge of the opponent, but also on understanding our own vulnerabilities.

Indicative of the impact of the speeches and the topics, is that throughout the day the conference room was packed and the interest remained undiminished until the last presentation. Having received valuable data, comprehensive information and food for thought, the Information Security market renewed its appointment for the 6th InfoCom Security on April 6, 2016.
