500 million tweets are sent every day - The strategy required for a "tweet" to be successful
80% of users of the social network Twitter visit the website via a "smart" mobile phone, new research reveals.

The event for the launch of Twitter in the Greek market was organized by the company Httpool, the social network's representative in the Greek advertising market.

The event was prefaced by the general manager of Httpool in Greece, Vangelis Matiatos, saying that it is a great honor and they are particularly proud to be the representatives of Twitter in Greece. A collaboration that, as he emphasized, begins at an excellent time, with Twitter being a key part of communication in Greece as well.

Next, Neil Horgan, Eastern Europe Manager at Twitter based in Dublin, took the floor. Neil Horgan referred to the features that make Twitter an amazing communication platform, provided research data related to Twitter usage, and mentioned some typical examples.

Regarding the first part, he stated that the three elements that, working together, make Twitter a unique communication platform around the world are:

1. Everything that happens in the world is immediate and alive, it is also uploaded to Twitter at the same time, people communicate events, new stories, moments.

2. It is public, it is an open platform, everyone has access from anywhere in the world, without having to register or follow anyone.

3. It fosters discussion and commenting, someone tweets, someone else comments, others respond and thus trends are created. A typical example is last year's World Cup, where over 672 million tweets were made around the world about it.

Other examples were the huge trends created for important events such as #Bring Back our girls, #Je suis Charlie, #LLAP or even funny trends created around a photo.

As Niall Horgan stated, 500 million tweets.

Regarding the planning of the strategy required for a "tweet" to be successful, Niall Horgan emphasized that you must:

a) They should be immediately recognizable, with the logo clearly visible, because Twitter users scroll through messages very quickly in an attempt to see as much content as possible.

b) To try to connect emotionally with the world, with important events or moments.

c) Create interaction with users, try to get them to participate in communication, encourage them to share.

d) Be worthy of public expectations.

e) Communicate the content as if they were telling a short story, their message, no matter how short, should have a beginning - middle - end.
