A 12-year-old boy harassed girls and boys he was chatting with in the game's chat room, as was found after a police, by sending them photos with obscene content.
Police officers conducted a digital investigation in an area of Macedonia to verify transactions carried out through virtual chat rooms on the internet.
As it was found, an unknown person was approaching minors (8 to 11 years old) in the context of an online game and asked them during the game, via chat rooms , to send him their email addresses, as well as those of their friends.
In the case where minors sent their email addresses, as well as those of their classmates of the same age, they received emails with obscene photos and sexual harassment.
This was followed by the electronic identification of the perpetrator's online details, who, as it turned out, is a minor in a region of northern Greece, while the telephone internet connection was found to be registered in his mother's details.
In a search conducted by a police team at the minor's home, one (1) computer hard drive was found and seized.
During the on-site investigation, it was determined that the aforementioned messages and photographs of sexual content had been sent through the computer, the hard drive of which was seized, and that the email account in question, as well as the game account through which the minors were approached, belong to the aforementioned minor.
The possibility of these accounts being managed by a third party is being investigated digitally.
