Canonical has disclosed details about a vulnerability in cgmanager in Ubuntu 14.10 and Ubuntu 14.04 LTS operating systems . The issue is not considered serious, but users should still upgrade their systems as soon as possible.
In a series of important fixes that have been released for the aforementioned operating systems, updates for the vulnerability of this specific manager are also included. The vulnerability could expose sensitive information or devices of the owners of the information systems.
According to the company's announcement, the vulnerability was in the modification of cgroup properties, thus giving a local attacker the ability to exploit it.
The upgrade of the systems to the updated version via the Update Manager application according to the distribution will solve your problem.
