A new feature has appeared in Gmail , allowing users to edit an attached Microsoft Office file in Google Drive .
When an incoming email contains a file created with Microsoft Office, theoption to edit in Google Drive, in addition to the existing options to download or save to Google Drive.
At the same time, new file types are supported in Google Drive:
- dot, dotx, dotm*, docm* for editing in Google Docs
- xlt, xltx, xltm*, xlsm* for editing in Google Sheets
- pot, potx, potm*, pptm*, pps, ppsx, ppsm* for editing in Google Slides
