Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, the man photographed by Newsweek as the mysterious and much-sought-after creator of Bitcoin, has launched a website to raise money and sue the magazine. Nakamoto has denied any involvement in the creation or development of the cryptocurrency. His name has been incorrectly linked to the pseudonym of the programmer who developed the virtual currency Bitcoin.

The Newsweek article, however, resulted in Nakamoto being hounded in Temple City, California. His home was inundated with reporters and cameras. Paparazzi and crews chased him everywhere to cover the story.

Newsweeklied.com – describes Nakamoto as a 65-year-old unemployed engineer facing serious financial difficulties. The same website reports that the Newsweek article caused chaos and confusion in his family. “His mother believed that authorities were planning to remove her from her home and put her in a care facility.” “His estranged wife and children were estranged from their father because of the publications.”.

Nakamoto has already received more than $20,000 in donations to help with “legal and medical expenses.” And while he said he was “extremely grateful” for the money he raised, the website says he will use it to sue Newsweek for the harm it caused him.

Ethan Kirschner, Nakamoto's lawyer, confirmed that the fund and website were "created and approved" by Nakamoto. However, he did not provide further information on how his client will proceed. Newsweek, when asked about the incident, declined to comment.
