Google Glass 's negative reputation stems partly from the fact that it doesn't offer many practical applications, but a new video shows how the device could transform the way military services and authorities operate.
TrackingPoint, a manufacturer of precision firearms, has created a video showing how Google Glass could be used to give a shooter a safer vantage point from which to shoot.
Shotview, the company's iOS and Android app, has the ability to send live images from TrackingPoint's networked surveillance field to Wi-Fi-enabled devices like smartphones, tablets, and a range of wireless systems. However, the demo shown in the video is just a glimpse of what could happen in the near future.

An example of how ShotView already works in real life with an iPad can be seen in an older video from the company:

Giving shooters what they call "augmented aiming capability," a live video feed for Glass will make the controversial glasses a must-have for shooters.
