Microsoft has unveiled a new version of the company's VoIP service aimed at professional broadcasters.
The new service uses technology developed by Cat and Mouse – a company recently acquired by Microsoft – which offers the highest audio and video quality demanded by professionals, for example from the media industry (it even supports HD-SDI standards).
The website www.catandmouse.tv now leads to a new website called “Skype in media”.
Skype TX can manage multiple calls through a single user interface and eliminates distractions and annoyances such as call notifications and advertisements.
Considering how much various radio stations and TV channels depend on Skype, no matter how small or large they are, Skype TX will undoubtedly have supporters.
Microsoft has not yet announced the availability date or the cost of using the service.
