Eurolife ERB Insurance collaborated with Microsoft Hellas

Eurolife ERB Insurance, one of the largest insurance companies in Greece, has upgraded its MySpot web portal with the help of Microsoft Hellas consulting services.

With a view to providing the best possible IT support for its associates, the IT department managers of Eurolife ERB Insurance, with the consulting services of Microsoft, studied their suggestions and ideas for changes and additions and upgraded the MySpot web portal.

MySpot is the electronic environment used by the Eurolife ERB partner network and provides, among other things, aggregated and analytical reports (dashboards & reports), personalized reporting, productivity indicators, search and interaction capabilities with the material and a multitude of applications that concern the daily life of the company's partners. In addition, it hosts applications and automates processes for internal users (accounting, financial services, IT, etc.), significantly accelerating the service time of partners.

The upgraded MySpot now allows access to all information with a single login in a unified system. It works on all devices (tablet, mobile, computer), while the image adapts to the user's device and is Touch Friendly. No application installation is required as the portal has been implemented entirely with browser-friendly technologies through an interactive and responsive HTML interface.

The new MySpot is significantly improved in terms of information provision, availability and accessibility and is even more user-friendly after significant simplifications have been made compared to its previous version. Its implementation has been based on the latest Microsoft technologies and platforms covering the areas of Business Process Management, Data Platform, Collaboration and Business Intelligence (SharePoint 2013, SQL Server 2012, .NET 4.5) combining modern trends in the implementation of applications and business intelligence solutions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the information delivery layer of the solution - entirely based on the SharePoint 2013 platform - where information and functionality are provided through a responsive user experience that covers multiple devices in terms of capabilities and screen size, always following security requirements at the level of functions, data and information reports.

Konstantinos Liakeas, IT Director of Eurolife ERB Insurance, stated in this regard: "Our collaboration with the Microsoft consulting team allowed us to examine all alternative solutions for the adoption of our new platform for application development. By choosing a joint Microsoft-Eurolife team as a development model, we acquired the necessary know-how so that after the launch of the third version of MySpot, we could expand the functionality we offer to our partners. Finally, by using HTML5 (through an ASP .NET MVC infrastructure) we achieved independence from the form factor of the user's device as well as better behavior on mobile devices.".

Nikos Makris, engagement manager, Microsoft consulting services, Microsoft Greece, stated: "The capabilities and flexibility provided by Microsoft products are a key element in the implementation of modern business intelligence applications and solutions. Our collaboration with the IT department of Eurolife ERB in the design and implementation of MySpot is another example of how the expertise of Microsoft consulting services contributes to meeting the business needs of our clients.".
