Whenever a user becomes a member of a Facebook group, they automatically receive notifications for all group posts, unless the group has exceeded 250 members , in which case the default notification option is “Friends’ Posts”. To avoid spam, Facebook selects the previous setting so that users do not receive a multitude of posts. Of course, each user can manually set up to receive notifications again for all group posts, regardless of the number of members.
What the most popular Social Network is testing with some users is the addition of admin posts to notifications, along with friends' posts. This means that the default notification option for groups with over 250 members will be "Friends and admin posts." This is an important move and in the right direction, as no one wants to miss posts from a group's admins and, of course, their friends.

We are waiting until Facebook launches this setting for all users.
