Piraeus Bank announced that it recently received Tier 4 certification from the International Uptime Institute of the United States, for the infrastructure design of the Group's new state-of-the-art Data Center.
This Tier 4 certification ensures the technological level of availability of the facilities and is the highest level of certification for Data Centers worldwide, characterizing the new Piraeus Bank Data Center as a Data Center operating continuously on a 24-hour basis (Data Center, Fault Tolerant Site Infrastructure).
This certification confirms the perfect installation implemented by Piraeus Bank in order to ensure the smooth operation of the new IT systems environment in the context of the consolidation of the 6 banks that was recently completed.
The certification process lasted 9 months and was carried out according to the strictest criteria of the Uptime Institute, since the specifications provided for by the top level of certification of this International Institute were fully met.
It is noted that fewer than 50 companies in the world have Tier 4 certification for the design of their data center infrastructure. Piraeus Bank is one of the few banks worldwide to have received this certification and the only bank in Greece.
