Overview
It is now a common observation that information security today is not an optional choice. It constitutes a critical business function, directly intertwined with the sustainability and growth of enterprises and organizations. However, the IT environment has changed. IT infrastructures have diversified significantly and risks are continuously increasing to a large extent. Therefore, the demand for redefining the information security strategy is now imperative.
The 4th Infocom Security Conference aspires to highlight the individual steps that constitute the change in information security strategy in the new IT environment, exploring how technological and human resources will be utilized in the best possible way towards identifying and managing risks.
The sections of the 4th InfoCom Security Conference are :
Section 1:IT Professionals Facing the New Environment
The IT department executives responsible for the operation of infrastructure play a key role in enabling the organization to smoothly assimilate the changes brought about by Cloud , Mobility , BYO , Big Data , and other trends.
How seriously, however, is the security parameter taken into account in the assimilation of these trends?
In the first section of the conference, we will look at the steps and practices that organizations must follow, with the guidance of IT professionals, in order for the transformation of IT infrastructure to benefit productivity and functionality, while giving security the place it deserves.
Section 2Intelligent: Solutions for Information Protection
Traditional solutions for protecting critical business data and applications are no longer that effective. The vulnerabilities caused by IT transformation focusing on cloud and mobility, malicious software and targeted attacks by hackers, require leveraging solutions that will be a step ahead, deliver in real time, adapt immediately to future needs, cover a multitude of requirements and be functional for users. Available solutions that will armor the organization and meet the above requirements will be presented in the second session of the conference.
Section 3:Models Effective Safety Assessment and Risk Management
Risk management in the new environment is a fundamental pillar of the redefinition of security strategy and will form the core of the 3rd section. Concepts such as governance, risk and compliance, regulatory frameworks and standards, auditing as well as solutions and services related to: PCI, SIEM, PKI, Vulnerability Assessment and Identity Management, are essential components of an effective model aimed at ensuring an adequate level of security.
Section 4:& Threats – Detection and Prevention Techniques
Closing the conference, in the fourth session we will see practically how this unique battle between Hackers and security personnel evolves today.
Cyber fraudsters and those who generally attack networks today motivated by financial gain or as part of some activism are extremely well organized, cooperate with each other to exchange malicious programs, possess advanced tools and target everywhere with persistence and dedication to each specific goal. Targeted attacks constitute a significant threat to any organization that must develop mechanisms that can detect each threat in time and succeed in repelling attacks.
Security Labs
During the 4thInfoCom Security, Labs will be organized in parallel, with technical and practical presentations by experts on information security issues, aimed exclusively at IT professionals.
