AirFastTickets, the online travel company, announced today its intention to accept Bitcoins, the new digital currency that allows for instant payments in transactions.
Bitcoin was launched in 2009 and gained attention due to acceptance by well-known companies, which give consumers the option to pay using it.
The list of online stores that have already included it includes a wide range of products and services offered, such as Amazon, e-bay, Overstock.com, and even Virgin Galactic.
In turn, Airfasttickets further expands the scope of bitcoin transactions, as it is the only company in Europe and the U.S. that allows its customers to make hotel and purchase airline and ferry tickets via bitcoins.
