Anonymous has carried out a new hacking as part of the Operation Green Rights campaign, this time targeting the website of Monsanto in South Korea (Monsantokorea.com). The Jewish-owned Monsanto is the largest multinational company in the agricultural biotechnology sector.
The hackers defaced the website's press release section and managed to leak some information from the database.
At the time of writing, visitors to monsantokorea.com are redirected to Monsanto's main website, monsanto.com.
The hacktivists behind the Green Rights operation have been targeting Monsanto for some time now. Over the weekend, they announced the launch of a new series of DDOS attacks against websites owned by Monsanto and other agricultural biotechnology companies.
It is worth noting that this is the second time Anonymous has attacked Monsanto's website in Korea.
“Monsanto: Anonymous believes you are responsible for genocide, environmental destruction, and mass contamination,” the hackers said in a statement.
