Apple's next MacBook Pro models will soon enter mass production , according to the latest information shared by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman .
In the Power On newsletter, Gurman said he still believes the new MacBook Pro models will launch sometime between 2025 and the first quarter of 2026 , which means they should be available for order by March at the latest. Apple often releases new Macs in October, but both Gurman and Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo have previously reported that the next MacBook Pro models may not arrive until early 2026.

Apple announced the MacBook Pro models with the M2 Pro and M2 Max in January 2023, so there is precedent for such a timeline.
Rumors about the new MacBook Pro
The next 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to be equipped with the M5/M5 Pro/M5 Max chips , but there aren't many rumors about other major changes at the moment .
In late 2026, the MacBook Pro is expected to receive four major upgrades, including an OLED display for improved contrast, a touchscreen, a thinner design, and M6/M6 Pro/M6 Max chips built on TSMC's latest 2nm process.

Apple is also rumored to be adding cellular connectivity to Macs, so perhaps the OLED MacBook Pro models could be equipped with a similar, custom-designed modem like the C1 chip in the iPhone 16e or the C1X chip in the iPhone Air. Additionally, the notch surrounding the front-facing camera could be made smaller on the OLED models.
This strategy shows that Apple is seeking to combine performance, aesthetics and new technologies, enhancing the value of MacBook Pro for professional creators, developers and power users. The careful scaling of features, from the M5 chip to the fully upgraded OLED models with M6, reflects Apple's philosophy of investing in stability and reliability, without rushing to release new products before they are fully ready.
