With an app that so many people rely on, like Google Maps, any issue or bug that prevents any of its features from working smoothly needs to be fixed immediately. Since late last month, Google Maps users have been unable to create multi-stop trips on Android devices.

To use this feature, once you’ve set up the first leg of your trip in the app with a starting point and a destination, tap the “+” button below the first destination and add another destination. You can add up to nine stops. When the feature works, a Google Maps user who arrives at their original destination taps the “Continue” button and gets directions to the next location. However, the feature hasn’t worked since late May, and while the “Continue” button appears on the screen, tapping it does nothing. The only thing users in this case is close the app and re-enter the next destination after reaching the last one.
None of the tricks Google Maps users tried worked, and according to Autoevolution, once reports of this issue started popping up on social media and other boards, Google started working on a solution and reportedly found a fix that was rolled out via a Google Maps update for Android. We know the update fixes the bug because those who complained about the issue in online discussion groups are now saying they can once again create and navigate multi-stop trips in Google Maps.
