Fast Startup Windows

No one likes to wait for their computer to turn on every morning, but luckily there are some easy ways to get around this problem without having to buy new hardware or do anything too complicated with your system settings . Windows 10 , for example, offers the Fast Startup feature, which is a great way to get your computer up and running quickly. However, there are times when you might want to disable it. In this article, we’ll explore the situations in which disabling Fast Startup can be beneficial and how you can easily disable it.

How does Fast Startup work in Windows 10?

Fast Startup offers a great advantage – it allows your computer to start up faster! By combining a normal shutdown and hibernation, it offers faster speeds. By enabling Fast Startup mode, Windows preserves the system kernel, drivers, and operating state of computer in a hibernation file every time you turn it off. However, this mode is not equivalent to true hibernation, as it does not save login sessions or any installed applications running in the background.

Why would someone want to disable Fast Startup?

Despite the benefits it provides, there are several reasons why you might choose to disable Fast Startup on your Windows 10 laptop or desktop. First, it can prevent you from installing Windows updates . This is because an update requires a full shutdown to take effect. Restarting will complete the installation while Fast Startup is enabled, but the shutdown will not.
