After thorough investigation, Corsair has confirmed that the recent report of automatic text typing was due to a bug in the K100 keyboard firmware and not malware .

Following reports from many K100 keyboard users that keyboards are typing randomly on their own, the company has issued a statement.
As of August 2022, forums were filled with reports of this strange behavior, causing confusion and fear that someone was using keylogging or malware.
To combat the possibility of malware running on Windows, some people tested their K100 keyboards in safe mode, but they still experienced random word typing. This ruled out all external sources and indicated that the culprit was a hardware issue.
As originally reported by Ars Technica, a Corsair spokesperson stated that their keyboards are not equipped with keylogging features and do not store what users on them.
In response to the concerns that were recently raised regarding keylogging, Corsair stated categorically that its keyboards do not record user input in any way and are not capable of logging individual keystrokes.

The keyboard manufacturer said that the problem is due to a bug in the macro recording function, which unexpectedly activates and records keystrokes and mouse movements. These macros have been programmed to activate at a specific point in time, resulting in automatic typing of the stored text.
Conflicting reports have not yet identified the definitive source of this bug, however Corsair is currently working with affected users to better understand what is causing it.
Unfortunately, the recent K100 keyboard firmware update (version 1.11.39) released a few weeks ago failed to resolve this specific issue.
To exacerbate the problem, this newer firmware upgrade has caused unexpected pauses in the keyboard, which, according to some users, may be due to the high polling rate setting.
To stop the K100 keyboard from intermittently typing out of nowhere, simply unplug it from the power outlet and then press the Escape for five seconds as you plug it back in. This will reset device , returning full control to you once again.

Some users reported that resetting factory settings and clearing their keyboard memory does not prevent this problem from reappearing.

Therefore, to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted session, you should remove the keyboard until it is resolved by the technical team.
