Microsoft recently announced that the Intune enrollment issue experienced by Galaxy S22 running Android 13 has now been resolved by Samsung and Google.

Microsoft Intune is a cloud- enables businesses to securely manage devices, applications, and data. It simplifies the process of configuring and managing mobile devices, enabling IT departments to easily enroll, configure, manage, secure, and support mobile devices in the workplace. It can be used across Windows, Android, macOS, iOS, and iPadOS devices and applications.
Administrators can effortlessly implement device-specific policies for users who have access to confidential information on their personal or company-owned devices using this tool.
For S22 devices, Android users are experiencing an issue when registering and setting up a Work Profile for Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) configuration.
If you are having difficulty registering your device, you may see the error message “Can't setup devic. Contact your IT admin for help”, followed by the message “Unable to create Work Profile”.
On Wednesday, the Microsoft Intune support team notified that S21 and S22 devices are affected by this issue, but other models may also be affected.

Users with this known issue are encouraged to restart their devices to automatically download the Android Device Policy app required to complete enrollment . This will result in the process completing successfully.
If the issue is not resolved after the restart, users must manually install the Android Device Policy app and restart again for successful enrollment.
Samsung confirmed that a patch to address the issue, after providing customers with an informative support document.
“To resolve this issue, Samsung recommends restarting the device before enrolling. A server has already been provided as an additional solution.“
“If this doesn't work, install the Android Device Policy app from the Google Play Store before continuing with registration.“
Microsoft is investigating another critical enrollment bug in Intune that causes Android Enterprise Samsung Galaxy running Android 11 and later to become incompatible after updates or device reboots. This issue has caused significant disruption to businesses that rely on these devices for their operations and requires urgent attention from Microsoft.

After an Android 12 upgrade, Samsung devices enrolled in Intune and using a work profile had missing certificates, leading to issues with email and VPN. Fortunately, the company was able to resolve this issue quickly.
