Sensors built into the upcoming Ultrahuman Ring include temperature, heart rate, and motion monitors, allowing the device to track the user's sleep quality, stress levels, and activity density, according to CEO and co-founder, Mohit Kumar .
The device is designed to work in conjunction with the company's existing wearable , a service based on continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) sensors, which it calls "Cyborg," to deepen the quality of information for users by identifying poor glucose response, a poor night's sleep or increased stress, rather than focusing all the attention on what the user ate before their blood sugar spiked.
The Ultrahuman Ring is not the same as a CGM, but it can act as a standalone health tracker, according to Kumar. The smart ring is simply worn on the finger, unlike CGM devices.

The ring's clean, chunky look, available in a shiny titanium metal finish, is also more likely to appeal to fashion-conscious consumers.

Ultrahuman’s metabolic fitness tracking service essentially sells real-time feedback to help individuals understand what’s going on with their biology. The challenge for the average user is to intelligently interpret glucose variability data and connect it to specific lifestyle factors versus overly simplistic reading of the data.
The smart ring seems to aim to narrow this interpretation gap, allowing platform to track and triangulate a variety of biomarkers to provide the user with a stronger read on what's behind glucose peaks and troughs.

The Ultrahuman Ring is available for pre-order, with shipping scheduled to begin in August.
So far, pricing has not been confirmed, but the company said there will be two options: A (premium) price that will be paid once and another (monthly) subscription option that will be offered for a period of time, after which the user will be free to stop it if they want.
