How to speed up a slow-motion video on iPhone

If you want to speed up a video shot in slow motion or increase the speed of a normal video, it's easy on an iPhone. All you need is the Photos and iMovie.

To change the speed of your slo-mo videos, you'll need your iPhone's built-in app . To speed up a regular video, use the free iMovie app.

To bring the slo-mo video to normal speed, use the editing options found in the Photos on your iPhone.

First open the app. On the bottom bar of the app, tap “Album” and then select “Slo-Mo”.

Select the slo-mo video you want to bring to normal speed. When the video starts in full screen, in the top right corner, tap "Edit".

At the bottom of the editing page, you'll see two types of vertical lines. Lines closer together reflect the normal speed of the video. Lines that are further apart indicate the slow speed of the video.

To increase the speed of your video, press at the beginning of the lines that are spaced apart, drag the parenthetical line to the right, where the lines end.

Unlike before, all vertical lines are now the same. To save changes , in the lower right corner of the screen, tap “Done.”

Your video is now at normal speed, and you can verify this by playing the video in the Photos app.

To increase the speed of a normal video, use Apple on your iPhone.

Start by downloading and launching iMovie on your iPhone. On the “Projects” screen of the app, tap “Create Project.”

From the “New Project” menu, select “Movie”.

Select the video you want to speed up from your gallery. Then, at the bottom of the screen, tap "Create Movie."

In the iMovie timeline, tap your newly added video. Then, in the tools list at the bottom, tap the speedometer icon

Above the speedometer icon, you will see a slider that helps you slow down or speed up your video. To speed up your video, drag this slider to the right.

Then, save your project by tapping "Done" in the top left corner.

Return to the page , to export the sped-up video, tap the up arrow icon.

From the menu that opens, select "Save video".

Choose the video quality. iMovie will export the time-lapse video to Photos , and you're good to go.
