The top award "ICT Company of the Decade" was won by OTE Group at this year's Impact Business IT Excellence (BITE) Awards, a fact that highlights its contribution, over the last decade, to the transition of the state, society and businesses to the new digital era.

Over the past ten years, OTE Group has implemented a multitude of ICT projects for businesses and organizations, in Greece and abroad. With strong activity in the field of IT Integration, it has established itself as a partner of choice for the implementation of modern solutions in the fields of Digital and Cloud Transformation, information security, Internet of Things, health, tourism and energy.

In the private sector, OTE Group has completed hundreds of small and large projects, from the creation of a state-of-the-art Data Center for Coca-Cola HBC for 28 countries and the upgrade of Fraport Greece's 14 regional airports, to specialized technological solutions for many more businesses such as Eurobank, Iaso Group, Mitsis Hotel Group, MYTILINEOS, Athens International Airport, etc.
Abroad forthe development and management of infrastructure and ICT systems for European Union and International Organizations. Among others, it currently implements ICT projects for the eu-LISA Agency, responsible for critical security and border protection systems in the EU in Strasbourg, for the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in Helsinki, for the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in Paris and the European Patent Office (EPO) in The Hague.

A total of 9 awards for OTE and COSMOTE at the Business IT Excellence Awards 2021
In addition to the top distinction of the decade, OTE Group, during the award ceremony, also received the top distinction of “ICT Company of the Year”, while OTE and COSMOTE received seven more awards for the specialized technological solutions and the important telecommunications and IT they implemented last year.
Dematerialized prescription stood out by winning two gold awards in the categories "Digital Health" and "Large-Scale IT Projects". This is a landmark project that was implemented at the beginning of the pandemic and has decisively changed the way health services are provided in our country. It concerns dematerialized drug prescriptions and dematerialized medical examination referrals that citizens receive via sms and/or email, and carry them out without having to present them in print to the pharmacist and the diagnostic clinic. The project was carried out by OTE Group in collaboration with the company Byte Computer, on behalf of the Social Security Electronic Governance (SEG).
A gold award was awarded to OTE Group and MYTILINEOS, in the "Continuous Business Improvement" category, for the "Database Administration as a Service (DBaaS)" project, which concerns the monitoring and support of all MYTILINEOS databases.
The first campus network (private network) in Greece via a mobile telephony network , designed and installed by COSMOTE in collaboration with Ericsson, Gizelis Robotics and PTC, for the Calpak solar water heater production plant in Loutraki, also won a gold award in the " Corporate Transformation" category, as did the first campus network with a 5G network in our country , created by COSMOTE for Athens International Airport, in the "Information-Telecommunications Technologies Provider" category.

In the "Social Contribution" category, the gold award went to the Missing Alert App mobile phone application , for the fastest identification of missing persons in our country, designed and developed by COSMOTE on behalf of the "The Smile of the Child" organization.
Finally, a bronze award was awarded to COSMOTE, in the category "ICT solutions for Professionals/Small and Medium Enterprises" for the Digital Marketing4U, which supports small and medium enterprises through their digital promotion and advertising on Social Media and search engines.
The BITE Awards, which highlight the best practices in Information Technology and Communications of Greek businesses, are organized for the tenth year by Boussias Communications with the support of the ELTRUN Laboratory of Electronic Commerce & Business of the Athens University of Economics andBusiness, under the auspices of SEPE. The evaluation of the nominations was carried out by a jury consisting of professionals in the field and university professors.
