COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS: Corporate volunteer program focusing on society and the environment

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS planned and participated in actions to support vulnerable groups.

COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS

COSMOTE TELEKOM confirms its commitment to the value of giving with the corporate volunteer program COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS. The program includes more than 30 volunteer actions over the next year, which will strengthen the culture of giving of the people of the OTE Group and multiply the positive impact on society and the environment within the framework of corporate social responsibility.

The COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS program was designed by the company, with the aim of giving the Group's people the opportunity, through voluntary service, to strengthen vulnerable groups, contribute to the protection of the environment, as well as raise awareness of the development opportunities offered by technology. The Management Team actively participates in the program's actions, along with the large group of Group volunteers.

"Volunteering is deeply rooted in our culture. Last year alone, more than 4,600 volunteer employees of the Group participated in voluntary actions, such as blood donations, cleaning beaches from plastics, etc. The COSMOTE TELEKOM VOLUNTEERS program enriches the corporate voluntary action and our contribution to society and the environment, also utilizing technology to enhance the effectiveness of our actions," said Mr. Dimitris Michalakis, Chief of Corporate Communications, Sustainability and Channel Productions of OTE Group.

On the occasion of International Volunteer Day, more than 25 volunteers, together with Mr. Babis Mazarakis, Chief Financial Officer of OTE Group, visited Humanity Greece on December 5 to help cook and distribute food to vulnerable social groups. Also, a group of volunteers, together with Mr. Yannis Konstantinidis, Chief Strategy Officer of Transformation and Providers of OTE Group, are organizing a Christmas entertainment party for children supported by the Elefsina Love Center.
