Anti-Semitic images, songs and messages were posted on the website of a Jewish school in Long Island on Monday – the school's website was hacked.
The homepage of North Shore Hebrew Academy High School featured a Swastika and a clip of Nazi SS guards marching, according to a video posted on Twitter.
More Nazi photos were also posted on the “About Us” page, which was hacked to mention the phrase “The k–e race.” Another page mentions the phrase “North Shore Hebrew Death Camp.”
The nonprofit StopAntisemitism.org – which shared the video on Twitter – said that the personal information of the students and teachers was leaked in the breach.
“A Jewish school in Great Neck (Long Island), New York, is being hacked!” the post reads. “Nazi images, songs, and messages continue to be posted. Student and teacher addresses and credit card information have also been leaked.”
An image of Adolf Hitler was also posted on a page that described the school as a "North Shore concentration camp."
Another page included details of a "field trip" to Auschwitz, which stated that the application deadline was January 1945 and said that students would have to "go into an SS office and register as Jews."
As of late Monday afternoon, the school’s website displayed the message: “Under construction. Please check back soon.” Principal Daniel Vitow told The Post that “we are aware of the situation and cooperating with law enforcement.”
Nassau County police confirmed they are investigating the incident , but have no additional information at this time .
Liora Rez, director of StopAntisemitism.org, said the organization was notified of the breach shortly after 4 p.m. and that it lasted several hours. “We are horrified that hackers have targeted a Jewish school and exposed children to horrific Nazi images and messages,” Rez said.
"Many of these teenagers are descendants of Holocaust survivors, and the trauma is rekindled when such events."
